The TAYFUN Missile and Weapon System, developed by Roketsan using domestic and national capabilities, successfully struck its target in its latest test launch. This precise hit marks another critical milestone that strengthens Türkiye’s defense capacity and deterrence power.
SSB President Görgün: A Broader Security Horizon
President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB) Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün emphasized the importance of the TAYFUN Missile for national security following the successful test. Görgün stated, “With this successful test firing, our TAYFUN Missile has surpassed yet another threshold that broadens the horizon of our security and reinforces our deterrence.”
He noted that Türkiye’s deterrence capability is being strengthened in a multi-layered manner through the addition of domestically produced systems to the inventory.
