Russia has carried out the first export deliveries of the fifth-generation Su-57E Felon fighter aircraft. Officials from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced that the first two aircraft had been delivered to a foreign customer under an export contract. Various sources confirm that Algeria is the first international customer for this aircraft.
Statement from a UAC Official on Delivery and Operational Status
According to the Interfax news agency, UAC representative Vadim Badeh confirmed that the initial deliveries had been completed. Badeh stated, “The first two aircraft have been received by our foreign customer and a foreign partner. They have begun fulfilling combat missions and have demonstrated their best qualities,” conveying the customer’s satisfaction. It was noted that these Su-57E Felon deliveries were carried out during the Dubai Airshow. Rosoboronexport reported last November that the first contracts for supplying the Su-57 abroad had been signed. Russia has not officially disclosed the name of the purchasing country.
Russia’s Su-57 Delivery Schedule
According to information published in Avionslegendaires, Russia’s delivery plan also aligns with Algeria’s strategic objectives: four aircraft will be delivered this year, six next year, and two in 2027. This schedule clearly corresponds with Algeria’s long-term goal of making its Su-57E Felon fleet fully operational by 2028. This Russian export success is also being closely monitored in terms of the balance of air forces in North Africa.
