Bell Textron Inc. announced that it has successfully completed the comprehensive overhaul, upgrade, and delivery process of the Bell 212 helicopter, a critical asset in the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) inventory. This project aims to extend the operational life of the RTN fleet and significantly enhance its overall aviation capabilities.
As part of this effort, Avionics Upgrades were implemented to improve mission effectiveness and pilot situational awareness. Additionally, fuel system components were completely refurbished to ensure longer-lasting and more reliable performance. Finally, a new paint scheme was applied to enhance the helicopter’s exterior durability and provide a modern appearance. All of these efforts were carried out by Bell’s Asia Service Center team in Singapore.
Bell Sends Strong Support Message to the Royal Thai Navy
Chris Schaefer, Vice President of Global Customer Solutions at Bell, emphasized the longstanding partnership between Bell and the Royal Thai Navy in his statement regarding the completed project: “The Bell 212 has been a cornerstone of the RTN fleet for decades, supporting a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster response. It is a great honor that RTN has entrusted us with the responsibility of supporting their aircraft and ensuring their continued success. Our commitment to RTN is unwavering — to enable them to fully utilize their fleet’s potential and strengthen overall aviation capabilities.”
To commemorate the project, Bell presented a special crystal plaque to the RTN and Royal Airport Service at the Defense & Security 2025 exhibition held in Thailand.
