The success of the Ejder Yalçın 4×4 platforms used in UNIFIL missions in Malaysia has opened the door to a strategic export agreement involving technology transfer and a local production line. With a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the DSA 2026 exhibition, Nurol Makina aims to make Malaysia a production and supply hub for tactical wheeled armored vehicles for the entire Asia-Pacific region.
The DSA 2026 (Defence Service Asia) exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur hosted a historic agreement between Turkish defense industry giant Nurol Makina and Malaysia-based Nadicorp Holdings. The newly signed Memorandum of Understanding elevates the existing cooperation between the two institutions beyond the classic supply model, moving it to the stage of local production and technology transfer on Malaysian soil.

Field Success Transformed into Strategic Partnership
The most concrete outcome of the partnership between Nurol Makina and Nadicorp, 20 Panthera 4×4 (Ejder Yalçın 4×4) armored vehicles, are actively being used by Malaysian peacekeeping forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This high operational performance demonstrated in the field has earned the confidence of the Malaysian Armed Forces and served as the primary motivation for the newly signed agreement.
Key highlights of the agreement include:
- Local Production: Selected 4×4 armored vehicle platforms will be manufactured at facilities in Malaysia.
- Technology Transfer: Engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities will be transferred to local defense systems.
- Export Focus: Malaysia will be positioned as a strategic export gateway for Nurol Makina’s platforms into the Asian market.
- New Hub for the Asia-Pacific Market:
Nurol Makina’s combat-proven experience, with its vehicles used in over 20 countries, is being combined with Nadicorp’s strong regional network. This cooperation supports Malaysia’s goals of reducing foreign dependency while promising to create an infrastructure that offers an “on-site solution” to the intense demand for armored vehicles from regional countries.
This new production vision in Malaysia for platforms such as the Ejder Yalçın 4×4 and NMS 4×4 stands out as the most recent example of the global sustainability of Turkish defense industry solutions.
