At its weekly press briefing, the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced significant developments regarding the domestic and national defense industry products that enhance the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). The briefing highlighted the entry of new weapon systems into the inventory, critical test successes, international export agreements, and progress in national projects.
A World First from KIZILELMA: Successful Interception with the Gökdoğan Missile
The most notable development of the briefing was the critical test conducted by the Bayraktar Kızılelma Unmanned Combat Aircraft, developed by Baykar.
• On November 29, Kızılelma successfully destroyed a target over the Black Sea using the Murad AESA radar produced by Aselsan.
• The interception was carried out with the Gökdoğan Beyond-Visual-Range Air-to-Air Missile developed by TÜBİTAK-SAGE.

National Power at Sea: Corvette Export and MİLDEN Construction
Two significant developments regarding naval platforms were shared with the public:
- A contract for the export of one Corvette (Light Corvette) was signed between ASFAT Corporation and the Ministry of Defense of Romania, a member of NATO and the European Union. Deputy Minister Musa Heybet also attended the signing ceremony.
- Following the start of construction of the first block of the TF-2000 Air Defense Warfare Destroyer at Istanbul Shipyard Command, construction of the first test block of the National Submarine (MİLDEN) project also commenced at Gölcük Shipyard Command.
MKE’s Inventory Contribution and International Achievement
The Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE), affiliated with the MSB, came to the forefront with both its contributions to the TSK inventory and its international success:
• Within the past week, MKE completed deliveries of various quantities and calibers of weapons and ammunition to the TSK.
• Additionally, for the first time in its history, MKE succeeded in entering the list of the world’s top 100 defense companies prepared by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI)
