Turkey has been officially excluded from the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) F-35 program, a Pentagon official told Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent Kasim İleri.
The Joint Memorandum of Understanding has been dissolved, the AA reported. Updated the agreement with a total of eight partner countries (USA, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Norway and the UK).
Turkey was removed from the list of manufacturer countries on the official website of the F-35 program in July 2020; The USAF was authorized to adapt six F-35s sold to Turkey to the US Air Force (USAF).
