China has been working on engine technology for the J-20, developed against U.S. F-22 aircraft, for nearly 20 years.
The development of the WS-15 engine designed for the fighter jet will be completed soon, the South China Morning Post reported, citing military sources. In about two years, the J-20 is expected to be operational with the new engine.
