Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced that the Barak ER air and missile defence system has completed the tests.
With a firing range of 150 kilometres, the Barak ER was developed as part of the Barak Air Defence System family, which can be used at various ranges. The system, which can be deployed on both land and offshore platforms, will be used against warplanes, drones and cruise missiles.
The IAI said the Barak ER was also used against its ballistic missile during the test. The combat control system reportedly transmits the flight of missiles in real time, and the air and missile defence system can be directed to other targets detected on the battlefield if desired.
