The US Army will equip its M1 Abrams tanks with Trophy Active Protection Systems (APS) to neutralize anti-tank missiles, according to its FY 2019 budget proposal. The service plans to upgrade a total of 261 M1 Abrams tanks with Israeli made systems. The decision came after a two-year Army study into active protection systems for its armoured vehicles.
