CANiK, AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS Take to the Field at SHOT Show, IAV and DIMDEX

SYS Group will showcase the power of Turkish engineering at three major trade fairs to be held simultaneously in the United States, the United Kingdom and Qatar. With its CANiK, AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS brands, the Group is introducing its latest technologies to the world, ranging from 30×113 mm cannons to AI-supported RCWS systems.

Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS Group) is making a strategic start to 2026 on the international stage. Ranked among the world’s leading manufacturers in the fields of light and medium caliber weapons and robotic systems, the Group will demonstrate its operational capabilities across three different continents at the SHOT Show in the USA, IAV in the United Kingdom and DIMDEX in Qatar.

VENOM LR and TRAKON 30 Spotlight in London

At the International Armoured Vehicles (IAV) 2026 exhibition, to be held in London between 19–22 January, SYS Group will display its technologies that transform the firepower of modern armored platforms. At the center of attention is the 30x113mm VENOM LR medium-caliber cannon, which stands out in its segment with the world’s lowest recoil force and an adjustable rate of fire. Offering a strategic advantage to armored vehicle manufacturers with its low energy consumption and high hit accuracy, the VENOM LR is accompanied by the AI-supported TRAKON 30 RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon System) developed by UNIROBOTICS. Optimized for the needs of the modern battlefield, these systems, together with CANiK’s combat-proven 12.7x99mm heavy machine gun family, represent the new strength of the Turkish defense industry in high-technology exports.

Border Security and Anti-Drone Solutions in Qatar

Simultaneously, at the DIMDEX 2026 exhibition to be held in Doha between 19–22 January, SYS Group will strengthen its presence in the Middle East market. Group company UNIROBOTICS will participate in the fair with strategic border security projects carried out with Barzan Holdings and Fincantieri. Defense systems developed especially against drone threats and supported by artificial intelligence algorithms are expected to attract strong interest from regional countries and pave the way for new export contracts.

Strategic Launch in Las Vegas: CANiK and Radian Collaboration

The Group’s flagship brand CANiK will take part in SHOT Show 2026, the world’s largest shooting and hunting exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas between 20–23 January. At the fair, CANiK will carry out the world launch of a new firearm model developed jointly with renowned US manufacturer Radian. For this new model, which will be produced at CANiK USA, the Group’s facility in the United States, an order target of 40,000 units has been set during the exhibition period.

“We Continue Our Export-Oriented Growth Strategy”

Commenting on the intense trade fair schedule, SYS Group CEO Cahit Utku Aral emphasized that they have spread their production capacities across three continents and stated: “At the point we have reached today, we are strengthening the inventories of allied countries with the VENOM LR, the world’s most in-demand 30x113mm cannon, and our high-technology RCWS solutions. This intensive schedule extending to Las Vegas, London and Doha in January is the most concrete indicator of our global vision. With our export-oriented growth strategy, we will continue to fly the flag of the Turkish defense industry in every corner of the world.”
