A new anti-ship missile developed for the KF-X (Korean Fighter-eXperimental) has been unveiled.
It was announced that, the 400mm-class Air-to-Ship Guided Missile-II was developed with domestic resources within the country. The missile, with a range of 500 km and a ramjet engine, will be tested with live fire in 2026 and will be put into service in 2030.
The Naval News website, citing a Korean source, reported that LIG Nex1 and the ADD (Agency for Defense Development) developed the munitions.
Korea has previously purchased Meteor long-range ground-to-ground missiles for the KF-X.
