In China, a large-scale military parade will be held to mark the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party. It was announced that the event, which is expected to be held on July 1st, will not be in the form of a traditional ceremony, but that new aircraft will be flown over the city.

In this context, the Z-8L 15-ton class helicopter will be introduced to the public for the first time. The new helicopter is described as an advanced version of the helicopter design, called the Z-8. Equipped with advanced defence systems, the Z-8L is said to have higher survivability than its successors.
