Boxer will take its place in Eurosatory with Skyranger system. Rheinmetall will exhibit its products during fair which will be held in Paris on 11-15 June 2018.
In the statement made by the company, it is stated that the Oerlikon Skyranger System, which was introduced for the first time in 2009, will be exhibited.
Skyranger, is a 35 mm air defense system, was integrated to a a German-Dutch joint project Boxer 8×8 armored vehicles. At the end of the work, the Skyranger Boxer air defense system developed to protect mobile units and fixed structures. The platform with the unmanned tower was equipped with a 35-millimeter double-feed 35/1000 gun. With its electro-optic tracking sensors, it can automatically track the targets selected by the user or guided by the command center. Thanks to its passive sensors, the system can operate in all weather conditions day and night, with an effective range of 4000 meters.
