At the DSA 2026 exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, CTech signed a strategic agreement for the supply of its family of anti-jamming satellite communication modems, which provide critical protection against electronic warfare threats, to the Malaysian military. Furthermore, this collaboration is significant as it launches the journey of SecureARX technology, also certified by NATO, into the Southeast Asian (ASEAN) market. This partnership aims to enhance secure communication standards in the region with local partner AR Eastern.
Strategic Collaboration in the ASEAN Market
CTech, a TUSAŞ subsidiary developing satellite and line-of-sight communication technologies for defense and aerospace, has put into effect a product supply and cooperation protocol with Malaysia-based AR Eastern. This agreement specifically includes conducting joint R&D activities in the field of secure satellite communication solutions. It also encompasses the joint evaluation of new market opportunities within the ASEAN region.
According to the signed document, the core components of the collaboration are:
- Hardware Supply: Provision of CTech-manufactured, anti-jamming satellite communication modems to the region.
- Technical Integration: Combining the technical competencies of both companies to develop defense solutions tailored to regional needs.
- Regional Expansion: Joint action on secure communication projects across ASEAN member countries.
Global Reference: NATO-Approved Technology
CTech’s anti-jamming communication systems were selected by NATO in 2024 to meet secure satellite communication needs, thereby receiving international certification. Moreover, this new agreement with Malaysia is recorded as a step that will expand the operational use of the SecureARX product family in the Asia-Pacific region.
Speaking at the signing ceremony of the agreement, Dr. Cüneyd Fırat, General Manager of CTech, provided the following technical assessment regarding the importance of the collaboration
