Kuznya na Rybalskomu, which is building a naval platform for the Ukrainian Navy, has stopped production.

The construction of project 58503, project 58155 Gyurza-M and project 58181 Centaur class boats has been halted, Militar Portal announced, citing sources from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. Images of the platforms at the shipyard were also shared. The reason for the end of the work on the construction of the bots was aimed at COVID-19 and the related problems that came with it.

Thus, the director of Kvant Research Institute Vyacheslav Polozhentsev said in November this year that the Ukrainian shipbuilding industry is in fact in a state of death. “If we do not start work in January next year, we need to find the courage and admit – we close the issue of domestic shipbuilding, and abandon this industry,” he said.

However, explaining the huge increase in production volume, Mykolayiv Shipyard began bankruptcy proceedings in October 2020 due to inability to pay debts.
