According to the news in the Ukrainian press, the Zhytomyr armored vehicle plant delivered another batch of BMP-2 armored vehicles to the army.
There are about 890 Soviet-made tracked armored combat vehicles in Ukraine’s inventory.
Due to the developments in the region in recent years, Ukraine is trying to keep the vehicles operable.
BMP-2 armored combat vehicles have a two-man turret with a commander and a gunner.
The vehicle is equipped with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon as the main weapon and a 7.62×54 PKT machine gun as a secondary weapon.
Vehicle can launch 9M113 Konkurs anti-tank missiles.
