According to the Draft Bill on the Central Government Budget of 2018 submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the National Defence Ministry's budget for 2018 was set at 40,4 billion TL.
According to the new bill, the budget of 28 billion 702 million 119 thousand TL reserved for defence expenditures in 2017, rose by 40 percent in 2018 to 40 billion 402 million 239 thousand TL.
