The second prototype of the AIDC T-5 Brave Eagle advanced jet training aircraft developed by Taiwan with self-resources (serial number: 11002 / 09-9002) made its first flight.

The platform successfully completed a total of 15 minutes of test flight at Chuan Kang Air Force Base.

The first prototype of the jet (serial number: 11001 / 08-9001), developed by AIDC (Aerospace Industrial Development Corp) under a joint program, made its first flight on June 10.

 Testing and evaluation of the two prototypes is expected to be completed by September 2021. After the planned tests are completed, Hanxiang Aerospace Industries plan to begin production of a limited number of aircraft in November 2021. Mass production is expected in March 2023, with a total of 66 AT-5 deliveries expected to be completed by June 2026.
