Space Deal Between Turkey and Russia May Come Soon

Turkish Space Agency President Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım spoke to Russian news agency TASS ahead of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s spaceflight.

Yildirim said an agreement with Russia on space cooperation could soon be signed. “We are establishing bilateral relations with the countries and international organizations that we have set in line with our national goals,” Yıldırım said.

Yıldırım noted that there is a plan to sign an agreement with Russia in the near future.

Roscosmos told TASS on February 10th that Russia and Turkey are in the process of negotiating an intergovernmental agreement to enhance cooperation in space.
