Russia’s Project 855M Yasen-class nuclear submarine will be capable of launching Kalibr-PL and Onyx cruise missiles in Kazan.
Kazan, the second of the 855M class platforms, launched two missiles from a vertical launcher and a torpedo tube during end-user tests, according to Russia’s TASS agency.
It is also shared that the submarine will use the Kalibr-PL and Onyx missiles with salvo launch. With a total displacement of 11,800 tons, the platform has a missile capacity of 30.
Kazan is scheduled to be delivered to the Russian Fleet by Navy Day, which will be celebrated on July 25.
