According to a tweet published by the Greek Minister of Defense, the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Greece presented his proposal for the new Sigma-class frigate for the Greek Navy.
The Sigma class stands out as a Dutch-made modular ship designed by the Damen Group.
Thanks to its modular structure, Sigma class ships, which can be built according to the user’s wishes, can be configured to complete the tasks performed by ships such as corvettes, patrol ships and frigates. For submarine defense warfare, the ship with sonar in its bow was designed to keep the radar track low.
