Viper AH-1Z helicopters for the Bahrain Air Force are being produced as part of the foreign military sales program.
US helicopter manufacturer Bell hosted the Bahrain air force commander and Bahrain’s ambassador to Washington at its manufacturing facility in Texas.
The first helicopter to be delivered to Bahrain was said to have entered final assembly, but was told the platform would be completed earlier than the estimated date.

A total of 12 platforms were expected to be produced under the agreement, which was approved in November 2018, and the first delivery was expected to begin in the second half of 2022.
