February 27, 2018Russia Targets Satellites With New Laser Weapon
Russia has reportedly completed the development of a laser weapon that is capable of targeting satellites. The new weapon was developed based on research by A-60 laser laboratory and a completely new aircraft will carry the system which would not be based on the Il-76MD heavy strategic airlifter that was used to create the A-60. A decision on this issue will be made by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
