Otokar signed a record agreement of $661 million with United arab Emirates (UAE) strategic investment company Tawazun at IDEX 2017 held in Abu Dhabi. Under the agreement, Otokar Land Systems will manufacture Arma 8xx8 tactical wheeled armored vehicle for UAE Land Forces.

Otokar Land Systems and Tawazun Heavy Vehicles Industry will conduct production of Arma 8×8 amphibious armored vehicle, which will be designated as 'Rabdan', under a joint venture called Al Jasoor (Brave) in UAE. With this agreement, Otokar is to begin technology transfer and production abroad.
