The Moldovan Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced the delivery of 34 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) on 15 February, out of 41 donated by the US Government under an agreement signed on 21 March, 1994. Commonly known as Humwees, remaining 7 vehicles will be transported until the end of first trimester of 2017. The US donated some other 39 HMMWV and 10 trailers for the military vehicles in 2014.
