The defence ministers of the 10 NATO member states have reached a partnership on pilot training infrastructure. European training centre networks for fighter pilots, helicopter and drone operators will be created as part of the NATO Training Flight Europe (NFTE) programme.
The agreement, which is expected to provide extensive training access to allied country personnel, will reduce training costs and increase interoperability between the participating air force.
Belgium, Czechia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Spain and Turkey will work together under the NFTE programme.
