Rheinmetall will supply over 600.000 medium calibre ammunition for the Puma infantry fighting vehicle. The Budget Committee of the German Parliament approved the bill prepared for procurement on 30th November 2022.
This ammunition order for Puma is expected to provide sufficient operational supply for the NATO Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF). In addition, the munitions are expected to be useful for German Army mechanized infantry training and exercises.
Equipped with the Rheinmetall MK30-2/ABM automatic cannon, the Puma infantry fighting vehicle combines with the high rate of fire of the MK30-2/ABM and serves as Germany’s key and reliable weapon system.
The ammunition will be supplied for approximately 576 million Euros. The first delivery of the contract signed with the German Federal Army is expected in late 2022.
