The video, released by the US 5th Fleet, revealed that a large number of weapons were illegally transported in the Arabian Sea.
The United States seized weapons transported illegally by the Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61). The weapons included rocket launchers, guided anti-tank missiles, Type 56 infantry rifles and optical sightings.
It is not yet known who carried the weapons and where they were transported, but the US navy recently intercepted three different arms shipments in the region, which were sent to Yemen.
Since the end of 2014, Yemen has been engaged in a civil war for power between a Saudi Arabia-backed government and mainly Iranian-backed Houthis. The United Nations describes the situation in Yemen as one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.
