According to People's Liberation Army Daily News report, unit of the 78th Army completed the first launch of a new 4X4 wheeled amphibious self-propelled gate bridge Load training. The training has started at mid-August.

According to the leaders of the brigade, after two wheels enters the water, the bridge section on the vehicle can be opened to become a catwalk bridge. The door bridge of equipment and vehicles can be connected by multiple vehicles to form a floating bridge. Its water-to-land conversion, erection and withdrawal speed are very fast, and it has high manoeuvrability. This new equipment can play an important role whether it performs combat support or participates in non-war military operations such as flood fighting and rescue.

The publication however did not specify Bridge Payload capacity.
