The Ukrainian Ministry of Industry published the draft “State Targeted Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of the Aviation Industry for 2021-2030”. According to ministry experts, the total amount of financing needed for the development of the Ukrainian aviation industry over the next nine years is over $1.3 billion.
The draft recommends a significant amount of funding for research and development to create a turbojet dual engine family for UAVs.
The published document also states that the development and production of a hybrid-powered aircraft in Ukraine. A helicopter with a take-off weight of 4-5 tons, components of rotary wing air platforms are produced with domestic resources.
In this context, Kiev will develop and develop over the next 10 years to create the main helicopter reducers; will carry out the process of creating an electric propulsion system for the tail propeller of light and medium helicopters.
