Kalashnikov will display the new infantry rifle 5.56 mm AK-19 abroad for the first time. Â Ak-19 will be on display at IDEX 2021, a defence fair in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, from February 21st to February 25th. Â The AK-19, adopted by NATO and widely used in the world, used in 5.56×45 mm cartridges and was developed as “foreign market oriented”. Kalashnikov group of companies General Manager Dmitry Tarasov said the rifle has already aroused interest among customers in the Middle East and that they have received a request to buy it.
Developed based on the design of the AK-12 infantry rifle, the AK-19 features a picatinny rails, a telescopic butt of an original design, a new diopter sight.
