The U.S. Air Force has released a report that includes a concept drawing for the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) fighter.
In the sixth generation, five main technologies will be studied, while only one of these technologies has been announced. While it is reported that work will be carried out on the propulsion system, the new aircraft concept signals that the F-35 and F-22 may be out of use in the future.Â
The 5th generation of warplanes to be developed within the scope of NGAD has a low radar cross-sectional area and similarity in weapons systems; it is also planned to be equipped with a laser weapon.
In early March, former Vice President of Procurement Will Roper announced that prototype operations were continuing at NGAD. It is known that work has begun for flight and demonstration tests within the scope of the secret program.
