Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayi A.Ş/ TUSAŞ) has completed the modernization of seven aircraft so far as part of the Erciyes Modernization project. The firm announced that the eighth plane will soon be taken over for modernizing. A total of 19 aircraft will be equipped with domestic technologies as part of the project.
“The modernization activities of C130 aircraft, the central control computer developed entirely by TUSAŞ engineers and a total of 23 systems and 117 components are ongoing,” TUSAŞ said.

In addition, with modernization, situational awareness is increased and C130 aircraft are capable of precise and safe landing in airports.
