The MBDA, a developer and manufacturer of missile and missile systems, is signing a new partnership project in India. Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) will be the local partner of the partnership project for developing and supplying missiles and missile systems to the Indian Armed Forces. The new partnership is expected to be established in the first half of 2017 and will be called L&T MBDA Missile Systems Ltd. L&T will hold 51 percent share of L&T MBDA Missile Systems, which will be headquartered in India. The new partnership project firstly aims to develop and produce fifth generation anti-tank guided missiles, missiles for coastal batteries and high speed target drones. India introduced “Made in India” project in 2016. With the project, foreign firms who want to do business in India’s defence sector have been obliged to contribute to Indian industry.
