HÜRJET’s Assembly Process Begins in June

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) announced the start of detail parts production in the jet training and light attack aircraft HÜRJET Project. Critical Design Review Meetings completed on the platform; designs have been frozen. It was informed that HÜRJET’s assembly process will start in June and component assembly will begin in August.

The first safe flight is expected to be completed by the end of next year and certification activities will be completed by the end of 2025.

Configurations planned to be worked on within the scope of the project; light attack (close air support), counterforce duty in training, air patrol (armed and unarmed), acrobatic stunt aircraft, and aircraft carrier-compatible aircraft. The project, launched in 2017, aims to produce two prototypes flyable aircraft and one static and one fatigue test aircraft for use in test activities.
