According to the news in the Greek press, an agreement was signed between the Greek Navy and the French Naval Group.
Under the agreement, Greece will procure three FDI (Frégate de défense et d’intervention) frigates and three Gowind class corvettes from France.
Gowind class corvettes are designed to perform surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare and air defense missions in line with user needs.
The FDI frigate, on the other hand, is capable of performing its duty for 45 days without the need for resupply.
The ship, which has a helicopter hangar, can perform a wide variety of missions, including anti-submarine warfare and air defense on the open seas.
