The contract, signed in the last week of January, finalized Greece’s purchase of a total of 18 Dassault Rafale bombers from France, including 12 second-hand aircraft.

French Defence Minister Florence Parly announced on January 29th that new planes were on the way for Paris during a visit to Dassault Aviation’s flight control factory in the French Alps, following an agreement with her Greek counterpart.

According to the minister, 12 new Rafale aircraft will be added to the French Air and Space Force fleet.

The Rafales, expected to replace planes sold to Greece, are expected to be delivered by the end of 2025.
