Turkey’s Armoured Vehicle Manufacturer FNSS released a video promoting the PARS 6×6 SCOUT 6×6 Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicle developed as part of its domestication efforts.
The vehicle, which is said to be a product of 5-6 years of domestication, was described as a more suitable platform for reconnaissance surveillance missions. FNSS underlined the vehicle’s domesticated subsystem and domestic contribution ratio.
In the first phase of the project, a total of 100 vehicles will be produced in 5 different configurations with the domestic development model.
The vehicle has a range of over 600 kilometres and fuel tanks with special precautions against explosion/puncture. The PARS vehicle also has a self-rescue crane. The platform’s body form, sub-abdominal structure, baseplates and mine-protected seats specially developed for the vehicle are designed to protect personnel from the threat of high-level mines.
