The Danish Armed Forces have signed a major framework agreement with Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) for the procurement of logistics vehicles. Awarded by the Defence Ministry’s Procurement and Logistics Organization (DALO), the agreement covers the delivery of up to a total of 1,000 HX and TG trucks.
First Order and Delivery Schedule
The first firm order placed under the framework agreement includes more than 100 logistics vehicles. The value of this initial call-off lies in the double-digit million-euro range and was registered in the fourth quarter of 2025. Delivery of the first ordered vehicles is expected to be completed in an exceptionally short time, before the end of 2027. The new trucks will be used as part of Denmark’s establishment of a heavy infantry brigade.
Scope and Strategic Importance
The order includes additional services such as maintenance, spare parts, and vehicle training, while the sustainability contract for the existing fleet has also been extended by four years. This procurement marks Denmark’s return to the HX vehicle family as a user and is seen as a step in RMMV’s strategy to strengthen its position in the Northern European market. The agreement aims to position the HX as the standard tactical truck of the Royal Danish Army.
Colonel Thomas Øgendahl Knudsen, Head of DALO’s Land Division, stated that the contract will significantly enhance the combat power of soldiers in their operational duties, while RMMV CEO Andre Barthel expressed pride in restarting long-term cooperation with the Danish customer.
