According to military sources, China will begin mass production for the improved variant of the 5th generation J-20 aircraft.
The new variant, called j-20B, says Russian-made Saturn AL-31 jet engines are used because the development of the WS-15 engine designed by China with local sources is not completed.

According to reports, Chengdu Aerospace Corporation (CAC) currently has a 4 production lines, which has a combined production capability to produce 4 J-20 aircraft a month.
