Russia has announced that it will equip modernized Mi-28NM helicopters with new weapons.

The new weapon called “Arcticle 205” was declared to be a 25 km range missile. The system, developed for the destroying of armoured vehicles and reinforced fortifications, is able to function in day and night conditions. The system, which is guided by the internal inertial navigation system, detects the target with the active scanner in the last terminal phase of the flight. It is possible to carry four missiles at the same time, which can provide instant video transmission with encrypted data link.
