The US State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for up to five Gulfstream G550 Aircraft with Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Electronic Warfare (AISREW) mission systems with an estimated cost of $1,3 billion. The aircraft will also feature a global positioning system (GPS) capability, secure communications, and defensive systems. The proposed sales contract includes spares, ground systems for data processing and crew training, technical, and logistics support services, flight test and certification.
