In order to take its work to the next level within the scope of the projects it has developed for the defence industry, Kimpur has also completed its membership in SAHA Istanbul (Defence Aviation and Space Cluster Association) after SaSaD (Defence and Aviation Industry Manufacturers Association).

With 39 years of experience, Kimpur, one of the companies in the polyurethane sector, continues its project studies to develop many different products, from advanced technology polyurethane systems for ballistic applications, to special elastomers for underwater sonar, to special coating systems that require high strength and lightness, in line with the needs of the defence industry. The company became a member of SAHA Istanbul in line with its objectives of increasing its activities on project studies developed on the production of raw materials for the defence industry.

SAHA Istanbul has adopted the vision of creating a strong ecosystem by supporting the cooperation among its members in order to increase the localization rate of the Turkish defence, aerospace and space sector, to provide critical technologies that it does not have yet, and to move it to higher levels in international competition. SAHA Istanbul supports relevant public authorities, scientific and research institutions and universities in order to guide and inform its members.

Kimpur General Manager Cavidan Karaca emphasized that they have been certified as an R&D Centre by the Ministry of Industry and Technology since May 2017 and that they continue to produce sustainable and high value-added products with these expert teams in the sector. Emphasizing that they are developing new products for both universities and their customers in this way, Karaca said: “We are happy to serve our defence industry and our country with our current projects and new projects we will add to our portfolio. As with our SaSaD membership, we believe that our SAHA Istanbul membership will contribute to our activities in closely monitoring sectoral developments and cooperation with our stakeholders.”
