Argentina Wants New Radars

Argentine is in pursuit of new ground surveillance radar systems. The Argentine Army Attaché in Washington, D.C. has issued a public tender for the new radar systems last week. The pursuit falls under Argentinian Government's upgrade efforts of its surveillance capabilities.

The Argentine Ministry of Defence began upgrading Elta EL/M-2106 radar systems in June 2017 and five more systems are due upgraded. 

Argentina currently operates two types of ground surveillance radar systems: the man-portable PPS-15A(V)1 and the RASIT LMT-3190B mounted on 6×6 wheeled vehicles.
