Russian state arms export company Rosoboronexport has signed a contract for the supply of an additional batch of four Mi-171E transport helicopters to China, Rosoboronexport's Director General Alexander Mikheev announced on 21 July. The contract will be executed in 2018. China has also ordered four JSC Klimov-made VK-2500 turboshaft engines for Mi-17 helicopters which are set to be delivered in 2018, as well. Mi-171E is an export variant of the Mi-8/17 family.
