Kiev will buy Bayraktar drones for deployment in the Black Sea and Azov region in 2021, according to Ukrainian Naval Forces Commander Oleksiy Neizhpapa.

Neizhpapa stated that the flight range of the Bayraktars will be increased and that the UAV will be used in coastal and maritime security operations.

The commander also announced that construction of ADA Class corvettes would begin in Turkey, after which production of platforms would be completed in Ukraine.

An agreement between the two countries, which includes technology transfer, UAV and corvette production, was recently signed. According to the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, these projects will strengthen the presence of the Ukrainian Army in the Black Sea and the Azov Sea.
