Sierra Nevada Corporation, which operating in the USA, will procure aircraft to the US Air Force.
US Air Force has outperformed its decision phase in the ground attack aircraft procurement program. The long and tiring decision process of an aircraft has been winned by the A-29 Super Tucano, the platform proposed by the Sierra Nevada Corporation owned by the Özmen couple.
Super Tucanos, which is in inventory of 14 countries, are powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-68C turboprop engine with 1604 hp and a five-blade Hartzell propeller. The platform, which performs operations in a 550 km operational diameter with a 1,500 kilograms payload, has M3 machine guns in its wing slots and can perform +7 to -3.5G maneuvers.
