GSATCOM, a space subsidiary of Turkish Aerospace Industries (Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii/ TUSAŞ), will export HTS Communications Satellite with High Output Power to Argentina National Telecommunication Company ARSAT.

GSATCOM Space Technologies INC, founded in Ankara METU Teknokent in partnership with TUSAŞ and Argentina-based INVAP S.E., launched its next generation communication satellite development program in 2019.

The company will make its first overseas sale to Argentina. Within the scope of the project, TUSAŞ will make turkey’s first export in space by selling many satellite sub-systems, equipment and engineering services.

With the GSATCOM licence, THE ARSAT-SG1 Communication Satellite, which is intended to be developed by TUSAŞ, GSATCOM and INVAP engineers within a three-year period, will complete production in 2024.

The next generation ARSAT-SG1 Satellite, which will be used for civil purpose data transfer and has an all-electric prom system, is expected to be in a technologically important position among its peers around the world with its output capacity exceeding 50 Gbps in Ka-band.
