The Tu-160 bombers, which have been in Russia's inventory since the Cold War, have been modernized with the new engine.
The Tu-160M aircraft equipped with NK-32-02 engines has successfully completed its test flight. Within the scope of the test, the platform remained in the air for about two hours at an altitude of 6,000 meters.
Tu-160s with variable arrow-angle wing structure have been heavily used in Russia’s harassment flights against Western countries since 2007.
The platform is equipped with Kh-15, Kh-55 missiles.
