Boeing has been awarded a five-year AH-64E Apache attack helicopter contract by the US Army yesterday, in the scope of which Boeing would supply 244 remanufactured AH-64Es to the army for $3.4 billion. According to the contract, Boeing is to deliver 52 helicopters within 2017. The contract has also an option of produce up to 450 aircraft for the army or to be acquired through foreign military sales, which, if exercised, would increase the contract worth up to $7 billion.
